Today is a new day. I set up this blog for a lot of reasons. First, I wanted a place to keep track of healthy recipes that I'm trying for my family and to share them with others; second, I wanted to make a place where I can share any healthy tips I am learning as I study at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and third and most importantly, I wanted a place where people can share their faith as it relates to real world issues - eating, parenting, exercising, nutrition, relationships, and anything else that comes up, including politics. My training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition has opened a whole new mindset for me - how the physical, mental, intellectual, and spiritual body are all intertwined and when you are not treating all of them with care, they can all get out of whack. A lot of chronic illnesses can just be a result of poor nutrition and lifestyle choices. I'm here to help people become a "new creation" just like God promises in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come." We are all capable of becoming a new creation and living the full life that is promised. Let go of the old and embrace the new.
